At Rushden Primary Academy, all food is freshly cooked on site daily and must be ordered at least a week in advance.  We offer a 3-week rotating lunch menu and all bookings and payments for school dinners are made via Arbor, on an online cashless school payment system.  

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals (UFSM), while pupils in Years 3 to 6 who qualify for Free School Meals (FSM) will also receive a free meal. All parents must still book meals through Arbor, and the system will automatically recognise eligibility and apply charges (or not) accordingly. 

Our three-week Winter Menu will remain in place and will be available until Friday, March 27th. You will need to select one option for each day from the following choices: 

• Main Option 1 

• Main Option 2 

• Sandwich Option 1 

• Sandwich Option 2 

• Jacket Potato and Filling

Please note: 

• Meals must be booked at least one week in advance. 

• Menus and associated allergen lists are always available on our website. 

• We strongly encourage you to review these menus and allergen information before making any bookings, especially if your child has special dietary needs or allergies. 

• Desserts will be chosen by the children daily - please be assured that our lunch team are fully aware of children’s specific dietary needs and allergies, and they will ensure these are catered for. 

If your child has any special dietary needs that can’t be catered for from these menus, please email catering@rushdenprimaryacademy.org with details and our kitchen team will get back to you.

Playtimes

Our playgrounds are made up of two large areas. We have separate KS1 and KS2 areas. Both of these areas are equipped with games and activities to play with. Also, there are two large trim trails that were designed and fundraised by a previous School Council as well as an outdoor gym, which the children can access at playtimes and lunchtimes.
