Parent Reading Mornings at RPA 2026

Parents and carers are warmly invited to join us for our Parent Reading sessions.

• Autumn Term: Every Tuesday from 8:35am to 8:50am
• Spring Term: Every Wednesday from 8:35am to 8:50am
• Summer Term: Every Thursday from 8:35am to 8:50am

EYFS and Year 1 parent reading sessions take place in the afternoon from 3:00pm to 3:10pm throughout the year.

We look forward to welcoming you into school to share the enjoyment of reading with your child.

What does the session look like?

During this session you will be shown some helpful hints and tips by your child’s class teacher, whilst also reading with your child. The children will have their reading book, or you can bring in a favourite story from home. Alternatively, there will be lots of other books available in the classroom to choose from too.

We appreciate the huge amount of reading you already do with your children at home which contributes greatly to their success and progress. But we feel it is very valuable for the children to have an opportunity to share their learning with you at school.
