500 Word Competition

Last term, Years 3, 4 and 5 were involved in a 500 word story competition, and some fantastic stories were written! Click on the picture above to find out more, including who the winners were.

According to the judges there were over 1,000 entrants and, with the help of nine secondary school children, the following were chosen to receive prizes:

Special Achievements:

1st place - Phoebe

3rd place - Caitlin

Exemplary Story Writers:

Year 3: Anthony, Ruby and Jaxon

Year 5: Jessica

All winners received a special copy of David Walliam's The Ice Monster as well as a certificate. The winner (Phoebe) got her story illustrated and read by a member of the GAT trust as well as having the opportunity to visit an extremely exciting school in Peterborough. This school has exceptionally amazing corridors which have been taken over by themes: Harry Potter, Roald Dahl and many, many more. It was a wonderful afternoon and due to the success there will be more competitions occurring throughout the year. Excellent work RPA!
